BigLove Caffè

Everybody that knows me, knows that Brunch is one of my favorite things ever.. but really!
So, when I heard that the famous Bigmamma Group was opening a new restaurant, orientated mostly towards Brunch and Lunch, I didn't hesitate a minute and went there to try it with a friend.
If you've never heard of Bigmamma before and it only refers to you as the Eddie Murphy movie, let me introduce you quickly to the group 😉

It is basically a group of real authentic Italian restaurants based in Paris. They are very trendy and Parisians love to go there to enjoy great food in an always well designed space.
The only bummer about these places is that, they don't allow you to book a table, so you have to queue to get one, and this can be long.. very long.
I guarantee you it's worth the wait but be prepared to wait around an hour or more if you go there on the weekend, or if you arrive at rush hour.

But now, let's talk about what you really want to hear about : BigLove Caffè

We arrived there around 10:30 AM on a Tuesday, and surprisingly enough, we were among the first clients to come in.

The restaurant is not very big, there is I would say approximately 50 places and some places to sit at the bar if you'd like to have a drink, or eat something quickly.

The place is very well decorated and it feels like you're eating in a traditional Café in the countryside of Italy. All the waiters speak Italian together, so it adds an even more authentic touch to the place.

As I said previously in this article, my friend and I went there to try their brunch. BigLove Caffè doesn't break the rule of the brunch essentials : Pancakes, French Toasts, Avocado Toasts, it has it all!

What I recommend if you want to enjoy the most out of the Menu, is to get several dishes to share with your friends / family. I always do that when I brunch because it allows everyone to try different things on the Menu and to pay less at the end 😊

Here is the full list of what we got :

  • The Avocado Toast : 9€ / around $10 and £8
It was good, a classic toast with a creamy avocado spreaded on top. The ham was also savoury and I recommend to try it if you're not familiar with this kind of italian ham 😊

  • Ricotta Pancakes with fruits : 9€ / around $10 and £8
We were pleased with the pancakes which were very fluffy and tasty. They really felt they were home made and were really tender : Basically everything I look for in a pancake !

  • The French Toast : 7€ / around $8 and £6
Unfortunately we were quite disappointed with this one.. Regarding of its look, it seemed really appetizing but we found it too heavy on the mascarpone cream and a bit sickly-sweet so we couldn't finish it. But afterall, it really depends on what you like. If you really love creamy and sugary pastries you might like it. Anyway I would recommend to share it with a friend if you want to try it, so that you can enjoy the deliciousness of other plates if you happen to dislike the French Toast.

  • An Espresso and a Cappuccino  4€ - 4.50€ / around $5 and £3
Nothing particular to say about these, but the fact they were good 😊

Overall :

We had a really good time at BigLove Caffè and would definitely go back there to enjoy their Lunch meals or even to try other things on the Brunch Menu.
The atmosphere was really nice and the waiters were very polite and helpful. I would recommend you to go there quite early in the morning so that you don't queue for to long to come in and you can enjoy fully your meal and your visit of the neighborhood after you ate.
